Greizmann's version, which aired just two days before France begin their World Cup campaign, saw the 27-year-old reflect on various moments in his career and discuss the rumours, before confirming he was staying in the Spanish capital.

"You're fed up with all the talk - am I going, am I staying, how much they will pay me, how much they won't pay me", Griezmann says in the trailer.

That led to Atletico releasing a scathing statement declaring they were "sick of Barcelona's attitude" in the lead- up to the Europa League final in Lyon, which was widely expected to be the player's last big game for Atletico. He then Tweeted 'My fans, my team, MY HOME!' to his Atletico fans.

In another signal of their intent to compete for the title in La Liga next season, Atletico signed defender Jose Maria Gimenez, linked recently with Real Madrid and Manchester United, to a contract tying him to the club through 2022-23.

"I feel there are things to do with Atletico", Griezmann added.

"What makes me wonder is that if they bring players can win the Champions here and walk into the club's history".

"Many calls come to my sister [and representative Maud Griezmann], but now [April 20] I'm not sure. I will not regret it".

However, the 27-year-old has now made a decision to extend his four-year stay with Europa League winners Atletico.

Griezmann has netted 112 goals for Atletico during his four years at the club, but Barcelona have been persistent in their hunt, despite being reported to Federation Internationale de Football Association over an alleged illegal approach last December.
