Walmart sells shirts saying impeach Trump and 'Hillary for Prison'

Walmart's facing backlash after "Impeach 45" and "Impeach Trump" apparel in all shapes and sizes - from infants to adults - surfaced on their website.

Old Glory, which was founded in 1969 and makes its T-shirts in Westbrook, Conn., received "a couple thousand" orders of the impeachment apparel on Tuesday alone, accounting for about half of the day's sales, Morelli said.

Walmart has received complaints on social media after it was found that the retail giant sold clothing and paraphernalia promoting the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

CBS News reports one person pointed out the company also sold clothing from various vendors for people who opposed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Trump's opponent in the 2016 presidential election, as well as for people who oppose former president Barack Obama.

Teespring had their shirts pulled off the Walmart website days later.

Since it went viral, Walmart removed them and all other "Impeach 45" merchandise from their online store. The shirts that come in several shades - plus similar baby onesies and even frisbees - have the twitter-sphere in a frenzy and spurred a grassroots call to boycott the world's biggest retailer.

This is not the first time Walmart has gotten into some hot water for a t-shirt offered for sale.

Walmart's Marketplace has given the company headaches over which items to permit. Walmart hasn't responded to media inquiries seeking a response to the boycott threats. Last year, Walmart came under fire for selling a shirt that read "Rope".
