New MacBook Pros are the most powerful laptops Apple has ever made

The MacBook Pro recent keyboards have been slammed for being problematic (even sparking a class-action lawsuit), so we'll see whether Apple has addressed those reliability issues in this latest generation.

In Australia the computers start at $2699 for the smaller model and $3499 for the larger version; with all the bells and whistles added, the most expensive version of the new models could cost $10,339, not including optional software.

Apple has quietly taken the wraps off a brand new MacBook Pro for 2018.

Both the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros are getting Intel's latest chips, which boosts system performance up to twice the 2017 models, Apple said on Thursday.

The new MacBook Pro includes support for up to 32GB of memory, an improved keyboard for quieter typing and will also be able to compile code faster.

They're also the first MacBooks to offer Apple's True Tone display technology, a feature now found on the firm's iPhones and iPads that uses light sensors to automatically adjust the colour temperature of the display to best match your viewing environment.

Just as the rumours predicted, this week Apple quietly introduced a new range of MacBook Pros, complete with new Intel 8th Gen processors. Every 15-incher has a refreshed Radeon GPU with 4GB DDR5 and can be configured with up to 4TB of SSD. If they have the money to spend, they can finally get their hands on a MacBook Pro which can easily handle their intensive workload without breaking a sweat.

"That addresses one of the key complaints with the system and should make life a little easier for users who regularly bring their MacBooks into meetings - or worse yet, the library".

The Leather Sleeve was an exclusive accessory to the 12-inch MacBook but now Apple is expanding it to the MacBook Pro lineup.

To be clear, it's the 15-inch model that will offer the highest-end specifications, as it historically always has.

Pricing and Availability: The new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and Touch ID, a 2.3GHz 4-Core Processor, 256GB Storage, and 8GB of RAM starts at $1799. The Notebooks are available for order on and would come to select Apple retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers later this week. The T2 chip also enables users to interact with Apple's virtual assistant using the wakeword "Hey Siri", similar to iPhones.

There are also several reasons not to buy the 2018 MacBook Pro, which we'll share to help you decide based on your own needs.

Available in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue and Black, the sleeve is created to keep your notebook safe.

Both the models are out now on for purchase.
