Aretha Franklin's funeral is packed with star power

The high-profile status of Aretha Franklin's funeral has been circling the press cycle since news first broke of her death.

The funeral for the "Queen of Soul", who died earlier this month at the age of 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, will take place at Detroit's Greater Grace Temple.

Bill Clinton reportedly giving a speech, and the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Faith Hill and Chaka Khan are also said to be taking to the stage.

Hudson's performance is highly anticipated - producer Harvey Mason Jr. told the gossip site that Franklin was excited about the biopic a week before she died on August 16.

Thursday night at 6 p.m. will begin a marathon of live music to honor the Queen of Soul, according to TMZ.
