Samsung Galaxy A7 with triple cameras announced, may come to India soon

It consists of a 24MP primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide f/2.4 lens for wide-angle photos, and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. True to what we have heard before, the new phone does come with not one, not two but three cameras on its back. For the unaware, Huawei P20 Pro was the first triple camera smartphone to launch back in March.

The A7 has a 24 megapixel front camera and adjustable LED flash, and has filters and AR emojis that can be added. 6 compatible and will run Android 8.0 from the box.

The A7 packs a large 6-inch 1,080 x 2,220 Super AMOLED screen, which is nice for a mid-range smartphone. While the S9 has a superior 12MP camera and 2.7GHz processor, the S8 tops out at a higher but less advanced 16MP snapper and 2.3GHz processing. The Galaxy A7 not only boasts of an impressive triple lens system, but also comes with an attractive design as well.

There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 512GB.

The smartphone will be officially launched at an event in Malaysia on October 11, where pricing and availability details are likely to be clarified.

The handset will initially launch in select European and Asian markets and will gradually expand this Fall. The smartphone also comes with Dolby Atmos. Sensors on the phone include Fingerprint sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. It is disappointing that the Galaxy A7 (2018) does not feature a telephoto lens, so it appears that this hardware addition is not going to be present in mid-range handsets for the future. The dimensions are 159.8 x 76.8 x 7.5 mm and it weighs 168 grams.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), NFC (Optional), GPS/GLONASS, and a micro USB port.
