US First Lady, Melania Trump, has arrived in Ghana as part of her extended solo worldwide mission to Ghana.

US first lady Melania Trump greets a child during a visit to a hospital in Accra, Ghana, October 2, 2018. She toured wings of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, including an older part of the hospital and a newer facility, and passed out teddy bears wrapped in blankets.

We love a good theme as much as the next person, and apparently, so does First Lady Melania Trump.

According to them, it is a lifetime opportunity their babies have had and, therefore, will never be forgotten.

Her son, Barron, did not accompany her on the trip.

First lady Melania Trump is greeted by Ghana's first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo as she arrives at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana.

Mrs Trump announced her visit at a reception for spouses of world leaders, held on the sidelines of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly, in NY. "I don't think I have ever heard her name, Melania". She was welcomed at the airport with dancing and drumming, schoolchildren waving mini USA and Ghanaian flags and the gift of a flower bouquet.

The American First Lady's tour would take her Malawi, Kenya and Egypt.

Her visit to the country is buoyed by efforts of Ghana's First Lady through the works of the Rebecca Foundation for women and children in the recent years. Mrs. Akufo-Addo, I look forward to visiting your country and know we will find ways to continue working together even after my visit.
