Donald Trump in Minnesota: Sen. Al Franken Folded 'Like A Wet Rag'

U.S. President Donald Trump is taking credit for pushing Canada to allow Canadian ads to be shown during Super Bowl broadcasts as part of the negotiations over the revamped trade agreement among the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

"He was wacky", Trump said referring to Franken during his rally in Minnesota. Boy, did he fold up like a wet rag, huh?

With a looming vote Friday over whether embattled Supreme Court appointee Brett Kavanaugh should be confirmed to a lifetime spot on the bench, the crowd told Trump how they feel.

"Hello Minnesota - great state, I'm thrilled to be back in the homeland with some fantastic, patriots - you know that", said President Trump. Man, he was gone so fast.

"Tina Smith would rather protect violent criminal aliens than loyal American citizens, which is why Tina Smith, that nobody ever heard of, needs to be voted out of office", he said.

Lt. Gov. Tina Smith was appointed by Minnesota's governor to succeed Franken.

Trump called up Karin Housley (at about 23:00).

The Star Tribune doesn't quote Trump's precise rap on Ellison: "Ellison is the number 2 official in the Democrat Party and he recently marched in a parade wearing a shirt that read: 'I do not believe in borders.'" Fact check: Sad but true. "You really do go off script, don't you", she said.

He said the government would fund health care for pre-existing conditions by getting "a little more money from China".
