Samsung Galaxy A9 is the First Quad-Camera Phone

There's also the option for 6GB or 8GB of RAM.

With that being said, for selfies and video calls, you get a 24 MP single camera on the front having f/2.0 aperture.

The official render of the Galaxy A9 confirms the smartphone will feature a total of four cameras at the rear.

Android 8.0 Oreo comes pre-installed on the device, while a 3,800mAh battery is also a part of the package (support fast charging). The 10 MP camera comes with telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom. Next is where the main camera sits with a 24MP f/1.7 lens and lastly is a 5MP f/2.2 lens built for sensing depth. Samsung has really spoiled us with a 6.3in FHD+ Super AMOLED screen and, for those who aren't a fan of notches, you'll be pleased by Samsung's decision to stick with the bezels at the top and bottom.

The two flagship handsets also offer smaller batteries than the A9 with the S9 featuring a 3000mAh capacity under its hood and the S9+ offering 3500mAh.

What are your thoughts on the Galaxy A9?

Expectedly, each of the four rear cameras does something different.

If price is a concern, there's the alternative and presumably cheaper (we are still waiting for the local SRP from Samsung) Galaxy A7 announced a little while back.

On the subject of availability, Samsung says that the Galaxy A9 2018 will be available at all Samsung Galaxy Experience stores and authorised resellers in November, but fell short of providing a specific date, or even a launch price. It will eventually be available in three unique colors; Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink so stay tuned for more updates regarding its pricing.

The Galaxy A9 has the world's first rear quad camera, with four lenses on hand to help you get the very best pictures (before editing them within an inch of their life on Instagram). Majority are camera-related and that was to be expected from this device.

It's somewhat odd for Samsung to launch a phone with world-first features that's not a flagship, but the A9 is plenty powerful. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card.

One thing that Samsung is more definitive about is when we can expect to see this foldable phone.
