Samsung Galaxy J4 Core with 6-inch Display and Android Go Launched


Samsung's budget Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy J4 Core, is official. The display of the device is 720 x 1480 pixels, and the GPU it uses is the Adreno 308.

As mentioned before, the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) and features a 6-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel. It is worth noting that the South Korean smartphone manufacturer is yet to reveal details regarding the same.

The Galaxy J4 Core is an Android Go device running a stock and lightweight version of Android 8.1 Oreo. It packs a 16 GB onboard storage coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The price of the Galaxy J4 Core is still a mystery, but for the sake of comparison Samsung had launched the Galaxy J2 Core in India with a price tag of Rs. 6,190. It will come preloaded with customised Google apps such as Google Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go.

The rear of the J4 core houses a single 8MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and the front facing shooter is a 5MP unit also with the same f/2.2 aperture long with an LED flash on either side to aid with low-light capturing. Connectivity options for the Galaxy J4 Core include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, GPS, Glonass and 4G support. The smartphone is powered by a 3,300mAh battery under the hood. This report makes the coming of Android 9 Pie to the Galaxy S8 series of phones more evident. The device succeeds the Galaxy J2 Core launched back in August.

We expect the Galaxy S10 to arrive in February or March of next year so be sure to keep it locked to Matridox for any rumors that might arise about the device in the meantime. The official price of the device is yet to be announced.
