Priyanka and Nick Jonas get married in a ceremony in Jodhpur

A day before they exchanged vows and became husband and wife, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas celebrated with their loved ones at lovely, traditional pre-wedding Hindu ceremonies. Onlookers far away from the venue were treated to an fantastic spectacle and you can see lots of photos here!

Nick proposed Priyanka on her 36th birthday and then they flew down to India for a traditional "roka" ceremony. The Christian wedding will be followed by a grand Hindu traditional ceremony on Sunday.

The couple exchanged wedding bands made by famed jeweller Chopard during the officiating of the ceremony, which was done by Jonas' father. And important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so unbelievable. They both wore Ralph Lauren, according to People. which is totally on point, considering they were both rocking RL for their "first date" at the 2017 Met Gala.

Two years after @nickjonas's hit "Close" went platinum, he's singing it for an audience of one: his new wife, @priyankachopra. More than 200 people have been invited for the wedding celebrations at Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur.

Priyanka Will Take Her Chances

Priyanka was a vision in a custom-made Ralph Lauren wedding gown, Vogue magazine reports.

"I got down on one knee, again, and I said, 'Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?'" Nick recalled. "She is marrying the guy she likes and she says that she will take her chances".

The Bollywood superstar and the Texan singer, formerly part of the Jonas Brothers, Wednesday before family and friends in Jodhpur's Umaid Bhavan Palace.

Nick admitted: "She responded day of with a message that said, 'My team can read this". Next came a sangeet, including dances performed by relatives and friends, then the mehendi, as well as a haldi ceremony, to ward off evil and bless the couple.
