Marko Arnautovic has told West Ham United he wants to move to China this month - with the club immediately responding by issuing a statement that the striker "is not for sale".

The Austria worldwide has scored eight goals in 17 matches this season having moved from Stoke City to the Hammers in 2017 for around £20 million. We know that we have a very good player in Marko, a lot of clubs may want him to play for them.

"West Ham bought Marko for peanuts".

The 29-year-old, has scored seven Premier League goals this season. He wants to go to a new market and challenge for titles.

But if Arnautovic does leave, West Ham have lined up Wilson as his replacement.

The unnamed club, believed to be Chinese champions Shanghai SIPG, is understood to have bid £35m for Arnautovic with wages understood to be £200,000 a week over a four-year contract.

However, they now have no room on their roster to sign foreign players, suggesting they may not be the club in question.

While some Hammers seem adamant that Arnautovic won't leave during the January transfer window, a plethora of fans have fired into the Austrian amidst the transfers rumours, and here's a flavour of what some of the fans have said about these recent goings-on and many have likened this situation to that of the Dimitri Payet saga. "It is his great desire that West Ham accept the offer from China", added Danijel Arnautovic.

'I am sure his head will be in the game against Arsenal and it will not affect his performance'. That is Marko. He will never change.

"Marko Arnautovic has a contract and we fully expect him to honour it", the club's statement read. He hopes the fans can respect his wishes.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini, who worked in China with Hebei China Fortune, said: 'I talk with all of the players, always.

Mesut Ozil has recovered from a knee injury but we doubt is Unai Emery will name him in his first XI on Saturday.

West Ham host Arsenal on Saturday and Pellegrini has no qualms about playing Arnautovic despite the speculation. I don't think he will leave'.
