Meghan Markle sports $35 H&M dress for royal visit

While meeting with one woman, she remarked, "You're a fat lady!" while acknowledging her pregnant belly.

The Daily Telegraph's royal correspondent Hannah Furness shared a video of their interaction on Twitter, including Meghan's hilarious reaction to the woman's comment.

Meghan just laughed it off and said "I'll take it!" before moving onto greeting the next person. May the good Lord always bless you.

Meghan's new patronage is very close to her heart, as she previously adopted two rescue pups when she lived in Toronto.

That being said, when someone called her a 'fat lady, ' the Duchess had the ideal response and definitely did not get offended.

"Minnie you're stealing the show!"

The Duchess is due to give birth in late April.

But when the pensioner questioned whether she really did know the sex of her unborn child Meghan added: "I don't, I promise you - no - we're going to be surprised".

In fact, her wedding makeup artist, Daniel Martin, told PEOPLE that Meghan isn't the biggest fan of a bold lip.

It's not the first time she's embraced high street fashion.

Last week the animal charity Mayhew was announced as one of four charity patronages that Meghan has taken on that reflect her passions and interests.

She might be the mother of the Duchess of Sussex, but it seems Doria Ragland hasn't altered her life - or indeed her shopping habits - too significantly.

Markle, 37, gamely held some of the charity's rescue dogs and petted others as she visited with staff and volunteers at Mayhew, which offers veterinary care and support for dogs and cats around the world.

Meghan rescued her dog Guy from a shelter in 2015 and she and Harry are believed to have adopted a second pup previous year.
