Manikarnika and Thackeray, which have locked horns with each other, are going headstrong and raking in moolah at the Indian box office. Friday Rs 8.75 crore, Saturday Rs 18.10 crore. Day 3 will be in double digits again. 85 crore in India so far but its United States of America collection is also impressive.

With the Rs 18.10 crore collection on Saturday, Manikarnika also became the highest single day earner ever for a female driven film. The movie was released in 50 countries worldwide on 3700 screens in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The actress put in much effort into making this film a reality and besides acting on it, she also co-directed portions of the film. Praising Kangana Ranaut's power-packed performance in the film which hit the theatres on January 25, Adarsh thinks that the film is inspiring which has soul and scale. Though Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike had the makers releasing fake versions of the film in pirate forums, a copy of the film found its way to Tamilrockers. Apart from Kangana, the film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Danny Denzongpa and Atul Kulkarni in pivotal roles. Kangana completely nailed the look of Manikarnika in the movie, the movie is directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut and produced by Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti under the production banner of Kairos Kontent Studios. "It's an honour to be able to pay a tribute to her through our upcoming film Manikarnika".
