The OnePlus 7 won’t have wireless charging, so stop asking for it

OnePlus had entered the Indian market in 2014 and started selling its devices through Amazon India.

The smartphone player initially began research on 5G in 2016.

The OnePlus 7 has been making rounds in the rumor mill, and while not all the details we have are concrete, this new piece of information comes directly from the horse's mouth. CNET is reporting that OnePlus 7 won't come with wireless charging support, even though the feature is quite popular and becoming a standard in high-end flagships.

While OnePlus fans can expect top-of-the-line features offered in OnePlus 7, wireless charging is one thing that won't be available.

Well, this has to be taken with a pinch of salt - the OnePlus 7 will not be coming with wireless charging and will be featuring the regular fast/dash/warp charge for this years' OnePlus devices as well, according to Pete Lau.

But OnePlus' standpoint on wireless charging is apt.

Those five winners will each get the money, the phone, one year of 5G wireless service on EE (in the United Kingdom only), and a trip to OnePlus' headquarters to meet with Lau and other OnePlus employees to help flesh out the app idea.

Since OnePlus and Qualcomm share a strong bond, CNET's query on whether OnePlus plans to bring the chipset maker's quick wireless charging technology into its phones wasn't answered. He further states wireless charging is pretty slow wherein on the Oneplus users can get 50% of charge under 20 minutes and full charge merely in an hour - thanks to the Warp Charge introduced with OnePlus 6T Mclaren Edition.
