Carlson was pressed about the age of the children and defended Jeffs more. The group released a video in which it compiles comments Tucker made on the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show between 2006 and 2011.
The compilation is a smorgasbord of misogyny.
In 2007, Carlson told the shock jock that he loves women, "but they're extremely primitive, they're basic, they're not that hard to understand".
When describing Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, Mr Carlson says: "I feel sorry for her in that way". I mean, in other words, if you are grievously injured by another person, it's not your fault.
Mr Carlson refers to celebrities Britney Spears and Paris Hilton as "the biggest white whores in America", he calls the journalist Arianna Huffington a "pig" and says that Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton are "anti-man". "Does it give you pause going on his show knowing that he said this? You just need to be quiet and kind of do what you're told".

It is not breaking news that Tucker Carlson has a sexism problem. He didn't - Warren Jeffs didn't marry underaged girls, actually. He's in, he's in prison for facilitation of child rape. Jeffs, Carlson said, was someone with "a different lifestyle that people find creepy". One side is deadly serious. What do you mean in accessory? I mean, I'm not trying to fag out on you or nothing, but I like you. Jeffs was convicted of raping his own "wives", aged 12 and 15.
The political commentator has also garnered a number of supporters amid the fallout, including Donald Trump Jr - the son of United States President Donald Trump - who made light of the radio program and its name. You're not going to hurt her feelings. It's much more planned out and plotted.
On that same appearance, he called Alexis Stewart, a television and radio host and daughter of Martha Stewart, "cunty".
A Media Matters staffer tweeted on Monday that "there's more" to come, and added that the group reviewed almost 100 hours of audio. Instead, he thinks we should ... watch him more?
"By Monday morning, "#BoycottTuckerCarlson" and "#FireTuckerCarlson" were the highest trending topics on Twitter. This is the image Carlson has spent more than a decade building.
Mr Carlson was hired by Fox News in 2009 and has presented an eponymous daily evening talk show since 2016.
There's a lot of really disgusting people on the air at Fox News.
