Westbrook responded to the fan and his wife with a profanity-laced threat, but told reporters after the game Monday that the couple's comments were racial.

However, the fan involved told a very different version of events, and claimed Westbrook went off after simply being told to sit down and ice his knees. And no matter if you like him or love him or the way he plays the game, he's one of the most loyal people that I know, one of the most down-to-Earth guys that I know. A video of the encounter shows Westbrook saying "I promise you". I swear to god, I swear to god.

During the second quarter, a visibly angry Westbrook was caught on camera hurling expletives directed at Keisel, telling him he was going to "f*** up" him and his wife.

He later defended his actions, saying he had been subjected to "disrespectful" and "racial" language.

The NBA announced on Tuesday that Westbrook had been fined $25,000 over the outburst.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook has been fined $25,000 for his part in an expletive-laden bust-up with a Utah Jazz fan, the National Basketball Association said Tuesday, March 12 (Wednesday, March 13, Manila time).

Last year, Westbrook knocked the cell phone out of the hand of a fan in Salt Lake City after a Thunder playoff loss. He said he is done tolerating their disrespect. "He said he's filing a lawsuit against Russell Westbrook, and he's has been advised to shut down his social media accounts". "I think there a lot of great fans around the world that like to come to the game and enjoy the game, and there are people that to come to the game to say mean, disrespectful things about me, my family".

Westbrook's teammates came to his defence following the game.

Gobert asserted he'd never heard racist comments on the floor at Vivint Arena, but said that fans can make the environment unruly. These included screenshots dating back to previous year, one in which Keisel allegedly wrote, "Russell Westbrook needs to go back where he came from!"

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook gave a mouthful to Utah Jazz fans.

"I'm not afraid of the guy". She never said a word to him.

Jazz forward Thabo Sefolosha previously teamed with Russell Westbrook for six seasons in OKC from 2008-14, where they experienced everything from an NBA Finals appearance in 2012 to a pair of Western Conference finals runs in 2011 and 2014.

On the flip side, several fans are wondering where the line is for them to talk to players in the game. Evidently, the Jazz that he violated enough protocol that they throw him out, which is good.
