Barcelona president explains how Man Utd beat them to Paul Pogba signing

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he received advice from Sir Alex Ferguson ahead of Manchester United's Champions League quarter-final tie with Barcelona on Wednesday. Pique says he watched both games against PSG and urged his teammates to take the chances which come their way to avoid suffering the same fate as the French champions.

"In the first leg PSG were the better side, they scored two goals and they could have scored more".

"Paul is looking forward to tomorrow, he's a Man United player, one of our big performers on the big stage, his game against PSG was not his greatest moment but he's only focused on playing tomorrow and I can not not see him playing for Man United next season".

"At the end of his career he had injury problems but training with him you could see that he had that quality to score goals".

Valverde echoed his player's thoughts, saying: "It's clear they have the ability to hurt us". It's a great example for us.

"We learnt that things happen however unimaginable they may seem and you must never let your opponent back into the game if they are out of it. It will be useful for us when we face United", he concluded.

Messi has played in 13 Champions League tournaments and during those has faced Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham a combined 30 times.

"I was here from 17 to 21, I had my first experience as a professional, playing games with great names and I also had some insane times here. It's a special game for me".

" Paul's job is to be the creator, and when we win the ball that he drives forward, so I expect him to perform [on Wednesday]."
He's one of our, of course, big performers and on a big stage.

"When we went into it, we knew if we got 25 per cent possession we'd be happy".

"To compare the titles won is something for you all to do".

Furthermore, the centre back revealed that his team have not watched last year's tie with Roma again because in his view, there have been other hard moments and you can not look back at the past.

"We have to be aware that in the last game we perhaps forced it a little. There's a lot of excitement".
